Test cases

Whenever dealing with numerical modeling of mathematical and physical systems, tests are performed to ensure a correct behavior of a simulation. For complex systems like fluvial computation, only a few analytical solutions exists for strongly simplified problems. For sediment transport, tests are often based on experimental results.

Below, the input files of some test cases including geometry are provided. They should serve as examples of how to set up a problem with BASEMENT and demonstrate the capabilities of the program. The test cases should run without the need of any additional configuration. The provided files are vaildated to work with the current version. The input files may not work with previous software versions.

Descriptions for the test cases can be found in section Test Cases of the manual.
